Serving Waukesha since 1986
Nick graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2012; however, he began his attorney apprenticeship at Martinez Law Office in 2009 under the tutelage of his father, founding member of the Waukesha Public Defender's Office, and former Circuit Court Judge, Jess Martinez Jr. Since then, Jess and Nick practiced as partners, faithfully serving the Waukesha community and surrounding jurisdictions.
Attorney Nick Martinez has litigated hundreds of criminal cases of all types and severities, through motion practice and jury trial. Innocence has prevailed, and countless clients have been vindicated through Not Guilty verdicts and dismissals. Here is where websites usually list specific accolades and victory numbers. Attorney Nick Martinez views that as bad karma.
Nick has presented to other lawyers a primer of current practices in criminal defenses in Waukesha County. He also served on the Board of Directors for Waukesha's Business Improvement District and Saint Joseph's Medical Clinic. In his free time, he enjoys a decent movie, a clever video game, dice with 20 sides, and spending time with his family and dogs.
Nick now operates Martinez Law Office, LLC with his associate and long-time friend, Attorney Daniel McMurray. Nick's father, Jess, retired from practice as most attorneys would choose to have it, when he passed away in January 2024. Nick bears the torch of Martinez Law Office, and he will continue to serve those in dire need.
